Community Involvement

At the Law Office of Jennifer Zide, we are devoted to our clients. We also believe in actively giving back to our community by donating to charities that help animals, support environmental preservation, and help at-risk youth.

In past years, we have supported groups including the Humane Society of Ventura County, Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue, the Ventura Hillsides Conservancy, Sierra Club California, FarmAid, FoodShare of Ventura County, the Return to Freedom Wild Mustang Sanctuary in Santa Barbara County, and Notes for Notes in Santa Barbara County.

In 2016, we are pleased to offer our financial support to the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue, and the launch of Notes for Notes at our local Ventura Boys and Girls Club.

There are two causes especially close to our hearts: Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue and Notes for Notes here in Ventura. The good people of Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue rescue, foster, and find forever homes for homeless labrador retrievers in need. Notes for Notes is a great group that reaches out to at-risk young people in our community, providing a positive, even life-changing environment of creative self-expression, access to music-making, song-writing, instruments, and instruction. New in 2015, Notes for Notes is building and launching a music studio at our very own local Ventura Boys and Girls Club! We are proud to support Notes for Notes in making a difference to our young people and helping them steer clear of the pitfalls of crime and drugs.

For information about any of these great groups and how you can get involved, please visit their websites listed below:

Return to Freedom Wild Mustang Sanctuary in Lompoc
A preserve dedicated to protecting America’s wild horses and helping them continue to roam free.

Animal Legal Defense Fund
Fights to protect the rights of animals through the legal system. Focuses on anti-cruelty laws and humane treatment of animals.

Farm Aid
An organization which helps family farmers stay on their land in these tough times. We are proud to support our hard-working family farmers, who give so much to all of us.

Ventura County Food Share
The local food bank with comprehensive programs to alleviate hunger throughout the area.

Notes for Notes
An organization that helps at-risk youth, by providing free access to musical instruments, instruction and positive music-making environments (in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties).

Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue
An organization who rescues labs in need and provides foster homes and, eventually, forever homes.

Ventura County Humane Society
Another great local group that helps animals in need.

Ventura Hillsides Conservancy and Sierra Club California
These two local organizations aim to promote legislation to protect our environment and preserve our open spaces. They each have multiple projects and ongoing committees to clean and protect our habitat.
