My office gives back to the community by supporting local environmental and animal welfare organizations. I am also actively involved in the greening of local small business and the earth as a member of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce Green Task Force and as a volunteer for our local Surfrider Foundation. My office’s past and present giving includes: Return to Freedom Wild Mustang Sanctuary in Lompoc, Ventura Land Trust (formerly Ventura Hillsides Conservancy), Sierra Club California, our local Surfrider chapter, Animal Legal Defense Fund, Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue, Beagle Freedom Project, farm animal sanctuaries, and our local Purrfect Cat cafe in Camarillo, placing cats from our local animal shelter and rescues with their loving forever families.
